Tour de Beauce 2008

The Rapha Condor Recycling.co.uk team are competing in the Tour de Beauce 2008, set in Quebec Canada fom June 11 to 15.

Stage three on June 12 featured the monster climb of Mont Megantic, starting in St. Georges and culminating at an observatory perched on top of the highest paved road in Quebec.

An early three man break became two before being caught with 50k to go. At the foot of Mont Megantic the race was smashed to bits as two riders went clear, soon to be joined by eight more. From this group Miguel Martinez (AMO) jumped away to win. Chris Newton (Rapha Condor Recycling.co.uk) claimed ninth.

Bernardo Colex (TUA) remains in the race lead, with 16 seconds over Martinez.
