Team Liquigas and Cannondale have announced a two-year extension of their sponsorship agreement in a move that will keep the successful Italian team aboard the American company's bikes through the 2010 season.

The 2008 Giro d'Italia has been especially kind to the partnership with sprint demon Daniele Bennati (Check out his bike) taking three wins and is leading the points competition.

Fittingly the announcement comes just after Franco Pellizotti's incredible stage win at Plan de Corones. "These guys inspire us to create great bikes and this announcement is motivation for our employees worldwide to deliver on that promise," stated Jeff Frehner, President of the Cannondale Sports Group.

Cannondale's sporting heritage includes four overall titles in the Giro d'Italia, a world road championship and countless important race victories worldwide. They have successfully used team sponsorship as a vehicle to develop and launch numerous highly successful elite road racing bicycle technologies.
