Tour of Picardie 2008

The Tour of Picardie 2008 is an ASO run event based in northern Frnace area of the Somme and Picardie.

The Tour de Picardie’s second stage took the riders over a hilly course from Ribemont to Clermont-de-l’Oise. With six climbs offering King of the Mountain points, the American, BMC Racing Team, worked to defend the KOM jersey.

“There were a lot of attacks, and it was a very tough and fast day,” Alex Moos said. “But the team work very hard for me and controlled the race really well. I am tired now, but the stage went beautifully for us.”.

A break went clear and gained three minutes and from that a further split happend in the last kilometres. But in the end the race came together and Martin Elmiger won the mass gallop to the line.
