The NGC squad will miss the 2008 Giro line up after the Giro organisiers gave their spot to Astana at the last minute, nonetheless the team's main sposnor NGC Medicial will be seen on the Lampre jersey when they start on May10 in Palermo.

Only days prior to the start Lampre and NGC Medical announced a new sponsorship tie in which could last beyond 2008.

"This agreement satisfies both parts - Giuseppe Saronni, Team Lampre's manager, said - The team finds a sponsor that shows enthusiasm and passion for cycling: this is a good thing for us; NGC Medical will have the chance to live the Giro d'Italia outstanding experience and, later in the season, support us in other races such Tour de France, Vuelta and other Classics".

NGC Medical is a company leader in hospital sector in managment in service of cardiology and heart surgery wards, design and production of computer applications for hospital wards.
