2007 Tour of Flanders winner, Alessandro Ballan will be riding a new Wilier Le Roi on the 2008 edition.

A bend in the forks should help over the cobbles

His Team Lampre mechanics have built up for Ballan and his team mates a bike which is slightly different from the normal specification, such as Ballan's 2007 Tour de France Le Roi, mostly with the cobbles in mind.

The bike is a Wilier Le Roi Team Lampre 2008 colours; featuring a more pronounced curved fork, aluminum wheels, Vittoria tyres 24”, Garmin computers.

He will turn 53-39 and 12-25 the gears and with plenty of cobbles to ride the mechanics inserted a soft shim under the tape of the handlebars in order to cushion the hits to the hands.
