Dwars door Vlaanderen 2008

The 2008 Dwars door Vlaanderen was held on March 26 and in very wet conditions.

From the start the Minor Classic race saw a number of moves and despite some string efforts by the likes of Tom Boonen (Quickstep) the race the race was not won until the final 20 kilometres or so.

A three man group was about to caught when Sylvain Chavanel (Cofidis) attacked and was able to exploit a lack of cohesion in a chase group to stay away to win.

The sprint for second was won by Steven De Jongh of Quickstep.
