What was your first club?
GS Surosa
How/Why did you start cycling?
Well, basically one of my neighbours gave me an old racing bike when I was 15 because he knew my brother was into bikes, and it was my size so I gave it a go and started off doing small rides just for fun and slowly started riding more and soon enough I got the bug as they say.
Why did you begin racing?
Because I was getting into cycling in such a big way, and also because I’m so competitive it seemed the natural thing to try.
Best moment so far in your career?
Leading the Junior Tour of Ireland
Worst moment so far in your career?
Crashing out in yellow on the last day of the Junior Tour of Ireland
Favourite event?
Probably the Cinturon Tour in Majorca.
Any ambitions in cycling?
To have a long and successful pro road career
Any ambitions outside cycling?
To become a better cook
What is your focal point for 2008?
To be consistent and achieve some good results both in the UK and abroad.
Where do you train?
Here and there

If given the choice –
Opera or pop?

Pop
Beer glass half full or half empty?
To me it’s half empty if you drunk the other half and half full if you are yet to pour the rest. (Smart arse answer)
Rain is liquid sunshine or just wet and something to grumble about?
Without rain there’d be nothing to grumble about in Britain!
Comics or books?
Books, I don’t think I’ve ever read a comic in my life.
Shakespeare or Jeffrey Archer?
Well, I don’t like either but I’ll go with Jeff just because I hated Shakespeare so much at school.
Kylie or Britney?
Neither, they’re both peculiar characters.
Action movies or French art house?
Action movies
Thatched cottages, modern or Greek classical architecture?
Greek architecture sounds good, I’ll gamble on that one.
Flares or drainpipe trousers?
Bermuda shorts.
I like soap operas
Do I?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Anything with hills, the bigger the better. Baby Giro in the Dolomites was magical.

Don't like either, big fan of Tiesto.

Not really a beer drinker, prefer Vito.
Rain is liquid sunshine or just wet and something to grumble about?
Training in the rain is ok, makes me feel tough.
Comics or books?
Books but got to be fiction.
Shakespeare or Jeffrey Archer?
Never met either of them, Michael Crichton is more my style.
Kylie or Britney?
Kylie because she's not a nutcase and she's been in Dr Who.
Action movies or French art house?
Action movies although I don't mind foreign language films.
Thatched cottages, modern or Greek classical architecture?
Gaudi was the best architect, if you want an artist then I like Kandinsky, got lots of his work on my wall.
Flares or drainpipe trousers?
I'm not a big follower of fashion; prefer to spend my money on Walnut and Pecan slices from Tesco.
