What was your first club?
The Port Talbot Wheelers. Their famous saying”you have done nothing in cycling unless you have won a West Wales 10". They even have
their own website now!  My dad is organising the 4 up 25 again this year and has told me to give that a plug.
How/Why did you start cycling?
I tried a few triathlons and enjoyed the cycling part the most and went on from there really.
Why did you begin racing?
I wanted to race because I am competitive and really enjoy winning.
Best moment so far in your career?  
Representing Great Britain.
Worst moment so far in your career?
Breaking my collar bone just days before I was due to compete at the European Track Championships.
Favourite event?
Madison. And any road race with a mountain top finish.
Any ambitions in cycling?
Any ambitions outside cycling? To become rich and famous. Who wouldn’t?
What is your focal point for 2008?
Do what I am capable of. Anything else is a bonus.
Where do you train?
The Welsh valleys boy!

If given the choice -
Opera or pop?
Pop. Catherine Jenkins does a world of good for opera though.
Beer glass half full or half empty? 
Half full.
Rain is liquid sunshine or just wet and something to grumble about?
Depends where and when it rains I guess. I'd grumble about it on holiday, maybe not if I was stuck in an African dessert though.
Comics or books?
Comics. There are more pictures.
Shakespeare or Jeffrey Archer?
Jeffery Archer. Shakespeare caused me to fail me English exams.
Kylie or Britney?
Kylie. She seems more like marriage material.
Action movies or French art house?
Action movies. They have given us Rambo, terminator and die hard. I cannot name anything from a French art house.
Thatched cottages, modern or Greek classical architecture?
Modern. Not stuck in the 19th century any more.
Flares or drainpipe trousers?
Flares for strutting myself on the dance floor.
I like soap operas.
I have never seen an opera!!!! Ha ha.
