High Road (THR)

Team manager Bob Stapleton stepped into the breach with the T-Mobile squad in 2007, hoping to make good the damage caused by a decade of drug use in the team. Despite renewing their sponsorship T-Mobile have pulled out paying Bob and the team enough to keep going through 2008.

Riding now as High Road have recently switched their registration to the USA, a sign that teams needs a clean break from the old. Joining the team for 2008 is Bradley Wiggins who joins last season's sprint sensation Mark Cavendish. Other riders of real class are George Hincapie, Linus Gerderman (He who placed in yellow at the Tour and caught the imagination of all until his team mate Sinchewitz tested positive) and Michael Rogers. The team looked like they were in for hard 2008 when they missed out on selection for the Giro d'Italia only for a few weeks later to be invited.
