Unless you are a downhill mountain bike fan the chances are that you will be unfamiliar with Lapierre Cycles. Formed in 1946 this Dijon based French company have a proud MTB record and 10-time Downhill World Champion Nicolas Vouilloz, rides one.

The French lottery sponsored Francaise Des Jeux squad race the top of the range Carbon frames. Lapierre have been developing carbon for their MTB bikes for many years and the basic parameters of their own carbon design set. The road bike is a light weight version featuring a monocoque carbon technology called by Lapierre, 'LP 0.9C'.

The time trial bike is like the road bike a carbon monocoque and shaped to cheat the wind. The fork is the excellent Easton carbon EC90,

The seat pin is not integrated, but almost looks like it is, that's how tidy it is.

The Francaise Des Jeux Lapierre's carbon theme is continued with the use of PRO carbon bars and rear disc wheels, the front wheel is the Shimano Dura Ace deep profile, with a Shimano group providing gears, brakes and cranks.
