Pro bikes - Discovery Trek TTX

Trek Cycles

Trek gave Lance Armstrong a bike for each of his seven Tour de France wins and from the first rebadged Litespeed the Trek time trial bike has developed into the hi-tech and very successful Trek TTX as used by the Discovery Channel team.

The TTX made it's first appearance in 2005 and since then has lost weight and made longer to make it less twitchy.

The TTX is a monocoque made from Trek's own OCLV 110 Carbon first seen in 1992. (Optimum Compaction Low Void).

Low void refers to minimising weak spots in the multi directional carbon weave.

The bike features Bontrager (A Trek company) Carbon XXX Lite TT forks.

Discovery Channel Trek's are kitted out with Bontrager Race X Lite Aero Wheelsystem, Bontrager bars and stem, Hutchinson tyres, Shimano group and a mix of saddles (Some being snub nosed San Marco's).
