Pro bikes - Team CSC Cervelo P3

Team CSC Cervélo P3

Founded in 1995 Cervélo has built a strong relationship with Team CSC founded by 1996 Tour De France winner Bjaarne Riis.

The Carbon P3 time trial bike took Fabian Cancellara's to the 2006 World TT Championship with CSC team mate Dave Zabriskie in second.

Based on a carbon monocoque design the bike features a number of drag beating elements; internal cabling, a rear wheel faired with a curving seat tube (basically, a design that gives the rear wheel a bigger legal fairing), and micro-adjustable chainstays. The frame is narrow with an aero headtube, but UCI legal.

Cervélo say that; 'The airflow over the seattube is predominantly horizontal. The new seat tube shape has a cross section shape that is separately optimised everywhere between bottom bracket and the seatstay joint.'

Also featuring on the P3 is an integrated carbon IAA seatpost and seat tube collar (More areo attention to detail).

Team CSC Cervélo's are completed with Dura Ace/FSA/SRM gears, cranks, Zipp wheels, Selle Italia saddles and Vittoria tyres and bars from FSA.
