A Crono in full flight
The Italian Lampre squad ride the Cento Crono signature Lampre for prologues and time trial stages.

The Cento Crono is based on the top of the range Cento road bikes and features a monocoque aero carbon frame (Daniel Cungeo used a Crono to win the white, young rider competition at the 2006 Tour de France). This monocoque frame has unidirectional carbon fibre weave achieved through a patented method and early prototypes were used by Marco Pantani to win the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France.

The Crono differs from the Cento most noticeably with its more aero shape and aerofoil seatpost and seat pin (not integrated as is the mode of the month). The bike features ITM aero bars, Campagnolo Record cranks, gears, brakes and Fulcrum wheels.

Wilier was formed in 1906 by Pietro Dal Molin in Bassano del Grappa, where they remain, and the marque mixes tradition with the modern.
