 TOUR DE FRANCE 2007 31 / 05 / 07

Teams for the Tour announced 07

Yesterday the organisers behind the 2007 Tour de France revealed the teams that will take part in the race on July 7 2007 in London. In total 21 teams will line up, with three of those teams being wild card entries.

Barloworld, Astana and Agritubel are the three lucky teams to get a wildcard entry. The South African sponsored Barloworld have had a good start to 2007 and are currently leading the 66-team UCI Professional Continental rankings.

Astana, a team registered in Switzerland is lead by previous Tour de France podium finisher Alexandre Vinokourov and is the home of ex T-Mobile rider Andreas Kloeden, who also finished on the podium.

Agritubel is a French based outfit that competed in the Tour last year.
