Eneco Tour 2008 - 7


The eight day Eneco Tour started on Wednesday August 20 with a prologue in Sittard and ends a week later in Mechelen, Belgium, with a time trial. The race begins in the Netherlands and Belgium taking in some iconic sections of historic road such as the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg.

The final stage of the Eneco Tour was a simple time trial in the Belgian town of Mechelen.

The fastest on the day by eight seconds was Raivis Belohvosciks giving newly founded American Beef/Scott their first race win.

In second spot was José Gutierrez (Caisse d'Epargne) who did enough to overcome previous race leader André Greipel (Team Columbia) and win the race for the second successive year.
