Manchester Track World Cup 2008

The UCI Track World Cup takes place in Manchester 31st October to 2nd November 2008.

A full house experienced the phenomenal success of the British Team at the Manchester World Track Cycling Championships in March 2008 and demand is expected to be high for the forthcoming World Cup.

Tickets went on sale for this exciting event on Thursday 7th August giving you the opportunity to book your seats to see the world’s fastest track cycling athletes battling it out for World Cup medals and World Championship qualification.

The number of British competitors is expected to be the largest ever at a World Cup event with the British Olympians returning from Beijing to race alongside the talented youngsters who are just beginning their journey on the road to the London Olympics in 2012.

There are 18 events packed into three days of competition at the Manchester Velodrome including the exciting Japanese Keirin Association International Keirin with £10,000 on offer to the winner. Tickets prices are £14.00 for adults and £7.00 for under 16’s. Please note that tickets are the same price throughout the Velodrome so book early to ensure you get your preferred seats which are sold on a first come – first served basis. Season tickets can be purchased for all three days of competition and family tickets are available too. Tickets are valid all day for both qualifying and finals sessions.

Women- Individual Pursuit, Points Race & Sprint. Men – Keirin, Scratch Race, Individual Pursuit & 1km time trial.

Saturday 1st November:
Women – Team Sprint, Scratch Race & 500m time trial. Men – Team Pursuit, Sprint & Points Race.

Sunday 2nd November:
Women – Keirin & Team Pursuit. Men: Madison, Team Sprint and JKA invitational Keirin.
