In conjunction with Team Garmin and MotionBased, ProTourNews.com is able to offer you a very exclusive insight into the life of a team rider during the 2008 Tour de France.

Each rider on Team Garmin is equipped with the latest Edge 705 so they can track all the data they need to perform at their best. Luckily, they're sharing it with ProTourNews.com so we can have an interesting insight into the life of a Tour rider.

Everyday the rider will upload the data via Motionbased.com, and you'll be able to analyse all the information sent for that particular stage. Alongside a race diary of his thoughts for each stage from start to finish.

Stage 1

On stage 4 David Millar placed 4th in the 18.24 mile time trial. With his Garmin Edge 705, we can see his average and maximum speed, and with the altitude capacity just how much climbing the short tough course offered the riders.
